The Poverty Bay Rugby Football Union officially gives notice that its 2026 Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Pirates Club Rooms, 15 Anzac Street, Gisborne.
The AGM is an important occasion for our rugby community — it’s the opportunity for members to receive annual reports, review Union business, and participate in the governance matters that shape the future of Poverty Bay Rugby.
Who Can Vote?
Voting rights apply to eligible delegates as defined by the Constitution, including club, school, and life member representation. We encourage all eligible members and stakeholders to attend and have their say.
Board Vacancies
Two Board positions will be available as part of this year’s AGM process:
• One full 3-year term — currently held by an incumbent director who has been completing the remainder of an existing term. They are eligible and encouraged to reapply.
• One 1-year term — filling the remainder of a current term following a Board resignation. The successful appointee will be eligible to reapply for a full term at the conclusion of that period.
All appointments will follow a transparent, skills-based process in accordance with the Constitution, led by the Board selection panel. Further nomination and appointment information will be released shortly through official Union channels.
Key Dates to Note
• Notices of proposed motions or items of business must be received no later than 21 days prior to the AGM
• The AGM agenda will be circulated 15 days prior
How to Submit

We look forward to seeing our members, clubs, schools, and stakeholders there. Together we continue to grow and govern the great game of rugby in our region.
