Coach development Programme 2010

This outline gives you an overview of the PBRFU Coach development plan and key dates for 2010.

Our aim is to provide quality upskilling opportunities for coaches wanting to further enhance their skills as a coach to aide their performance and that of their teams. Through quality coaching the aim is to boost levels of performance at junior, senior and representative level in Poverty Bay.

In 2010 the PBRFU will offer the following up-skilling opportunities:

Small Blacks Courses 2010

(compulsory for JAB coaches)

RugbySmart (compulsory for secondary school

and senior club coaches)

RDO Club and School visits

invitation coach development opportunities

Development of Rugby Coaching Workshops

– level 1&2 (previously named PORC)

For our game to maintain strength we need players to have an

enjoyable and stimulating experience. Our coaches play a huge

and significant role in this and that’s why the PBRFU are

committed to providing opportunities for coaches to succeed.

*Please note: For all courses, coaches will be forwarded a reminder and asked to register so that we know we have sufficient interest to proceed and we can adequately cater for anything that is provided (e.g. course manuals, DVDs, lunches)
