Big Win for Poverty Bay Under 16 Team
The Poverty Bay Under 16 team have stamped their mark on the Hurricanes tournament in New Plymouth today, beating Wairarapa Bush 47 -0 in their second game of the tournament. The team have a day off tomorrow, before taking on Wellington Development in the final on Thursday morning. For more information click here

Poverty Bay Under 16's win first game at Hurricanes Tournament
The Poverty Bay Under 16 team have kicked off their Hurricanes tournament in style with a bruising win over Horo Kapiti 19-17. Donald Maka was in good form with two tries and one to Jacob Cook.
The team play Wairarapa Bush tomorrow, before having a day off on Wednesday and the finals on Thursday. Click here for more details

Poverty Bay Lochore Cup Champions
The mighty Poverty Bay Heartland team had an outstanding win over South Canterbury today in Timaru - winning 49-22. The game was a had fought affair for the first 40mins before the bay put their foot down in the second 40 with a number of outstanding tries. Click here for photos from the game. Lochore Cup Final Time!!
This Saturday 8th October 2011 will see the mighty Poverty Bay Heartland team take on South Canterbury in the Lochore Cup final. Kick off is 3.05pm at Alpine Energy Stadium in Timaru.

Rugby World Cup - hits Muriwai and Te Wharau Schools
Muriwai and Te Wharau Schools celebrated the RWC in style yesterday holding their very own Rugby World Cup. Muriwais RWC saw Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and the All Blacks play, while at Te Wharau School there were over 200 children representing 18 different countries. Poverty Bay Heartland Captain Scott Leighton along with his partner Holly who is a teacher at Te Wharau were in charge with help from a number of the Poverty Bay Heartland team and Poverty Bay RFU YDO team. Poverty Bays Sione Ngatu named in New Zealand Heartland Team
Poverty Bay standout loose forward Sione Ngatu has today been named in the NZ Heartland tam to take on NZ Marist XV on Saturday 15th October 2011. Our very own Grainger Heikell is the head coach for the team. Read more here.

The Poverty Bay Under 20's and Under 18's have today won their respective finals in the Hurricanes B Division finals - The Under 20 team had a good win over Wanganui and the Under 18's over Wairarapa Bush.
